The obverse of the 9/11 Never Forget coin has the image of Queen Elizabeth II, facing to the right and wearing her diadem. The words “Elizabeth II”, “Solomon Islands”, “5 Dollars”, and the year 2021 are engraved along the edge of the coin, surrounding the Queen.
The reverse of the coin was designed by Joel Iskowitch and honors those fallen heroes who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
You will see a firefighter kneeling in the rubble with his rescue dog, his helmet stamped with the number “343” to honor the 343 first responders who didn’t make it home that night. Above the rubble flies the American flag, symbolizing the American spirit of strength, resilience, and power.
